About the posters

THE FIRST CITY POSTER
The Langebro poster was designed in February 2013. This first poster defined the DNA for the style of the urban images in our muted colour scale.

MOTIFS AND SIZES
In the web shop you find the full range of ViSSEVASSE posters. Many of the images are available in four sizes: posters measuring 30 x 40 cm, 50 x 70 cm and 70 x 100 cm and A5-sized postcards. See all the images here. The posters are also available from select retailers throughout Denmark. See our list of retailers here.

QUALITY AND PRINTING
The posters are printed in Denmark on 170-gram Swedish eco-friendly matt MultiArt paper, the Rolls-Royce of the paper world. We use a paper with a light coating, which enhances the print quality. The matt surface makes the paper non-reflecting and reproduces the colours beautifully with a deep, muted look. The paper is exceptionally age-resistant but make sure not to hang your posters in direct sun light, as it cannot be avoided that the colour will fade over time because of the sun damage. Like many others, ViSSEVASSE takes pride in being an environmentally responsible company, and naturally, the posters are printed locally in Denmark at an eco-friendly printing office.

ABOUT FRAMES WITH PLEXIGLAS
The posters are framed with high-quality 2-mm non-reflective Plexiglas. The benefit of non-reflective Plexiglas is that light from lamps and windows are not reflected in the glass, and the posters are protected from the harmful UV rays of the sun. Plexiglas loses its properties if you use corrosive detergents. Therefore we recommend that you simply wipe the glass down with a damp rag wrung up in clean water. Plexiglas is stronger than conventional glass. That means that your framed poster is better able to handle the transportation to your home, and that it is more appropriate for being put up on the wall in sensitive places, such as the children’s room.

HEY, THERE ARE LETTERS MISSING FROM THE CITY POSTERS...?
Yes, indeed. We left them out on purpose. Some of the city names are missing a vowel or two. Or have no vowels at all. For example, BORNHOLM has become BRNHLM. And RANDERS is RANDRS. This is partly intended as a mental gimmick and partly based on graphic design considerations. As a rule of thumb, however, the city name should still be easy to read. That is why AALBORG has kept its double A, and RIBE is not spelled RB...
