We are quite certain that the State Prison is a much more enticing place to be nowadays, than when the first prisoners arrived in 1853. They were set to work to finishing the prison buildings. A bit like fencing in yourself.
Anyhow, it is nice to know that today the prison houses cultural activities and we would very much like to dream on - hippie-style - that this was happening to all prisons.
